Stuart Whitman plays a man who escapes from an insane asylum, hiding out in an isolated farmhouse owned by beautiful Joanne Woodward. She befriends and shelters Whitman from the police and hospital search party. Edward Mulhare is very good as the doctor who is treating Whitman. Be prepared for the surprise twist ending.
